Project Overview
Project Start: May 2024
Project: Northeast China Oilfield Security Project
Client: Jilin Changyou Communication Construction Co., Ltd.
Deployment: 24 × 12 m fixed SS304 CCTV poles
Delivery Lead Time: 16 days
This project provided perimeter security poles for an onshore oilfield facility in Northeast China. A total of 24 fixed 12 m CCTV poles were deployed along the site boundary to support perimeter surveillance and related security equipment.
The project site is located in a cold, exposed industrial environment with low winter temperatures, strong winds, snow, and significant seasonal temperature variation.
Because the facility is relatively remote, maintenance access and secondary on-site fabrication are more difficult. The project therefore focused on cold-climate suitability, maintenance access at 12 m height, factory-prepared cabling and grounding interfaces, and standardized perimeter deployment.
Site photos show the completed pole installations, fixed access ladders with safety cages, stainless steel junction boxes, flexible metal cable connections, and grounding details.
1. Cold Climate and Exposed Wind Conditions
The poles operate in a Northeast China outdoor environment subject to low temperatures, strong winds, snow, and seasonal weather variation.
The 12 m pole structures and top-mounted security equipment therefore required suitable material selection and stable structural performance under long-term outdoor exposure.
2. Maintenance Access at 12 m Height
Perimeter security equipment installed at 12 m requires periodic inspection, adjustment, and maintenance.
At a remote oilfield site, especially during winter, temporary access equipment can be difficult to mobilize. A permanent and reliable access solution was therefore required.
3. Cabling, Grounding, and Restricted On-Site Work
Cutting, welding, and temporary modification are tightly controlled within industrial oilfield facilities.
Cable routing, junction interfaces, and grounding provisions therefore needed to be prepared as far as possible at the factory to reduce secondary work on site.
4. Standardized Deployment Across 24 Perimeter Locations
The project required 24 CCTV poles to be installed continuously along the site perimeter.
Pole dimensions, equipment interfaces, cable-entry positions, and maintenance structures needed to remain consistent across the batch while meeting the 16-day delivery schedule.
A 12 m fixed 304 stainless steel CCTV pole solution was selected to address the cold-climate environment, high-level maintenance requirements, restricted site work, and batch perimeter deployment.
1. 304 Stainless Steel Pole for Cold Outdoor Service
304 stainless steel was selected as the main pole material to suit long-term exposure to low temperatures, snow, moisture, and seasonal weather variation.
The pole structure was configured and checked according to pole height, top-mounted equipment, and site wind conditions to support stable high-level equipment installation.
2. Fixed Access Ladder with Safety Cage
Each pole incorporated a fixed access ladder with a safety cage, providing permanent access for equipment installation, commissioning, inspection, and maintenance at 12 m height.
This reduced the need for temporary access structures and provided a more practical maintenance solution for a remote operating site.
3. Factory-Prepared Cabling and Grounding Interfaces
Internal cable paths were pre-arranged within the pole, with stainless steel junction boxes, flexible metal conduit connections, and grounding connection points incorporated into the system.
Major interfaces were prepared at the factory to reduce on-site cutting, welding, and temporary modification.
4. Standardized Configuration for Perimeter Deployment
All 24 poles used a standardized pole structure, equipment interface layout, and maintenance-access configuration.
Standardized production, staged inspection, and factory prefabrication improved installation consistency across the perimeter and enabled the complete batch to be delivered within 16 days.
